Our off-roading group, well the close founding ones met up yesterday night. These summers are raging hot and we were quite restricted to our homes since a while due to the extra-ordinarily hot days but we wanted to break free. And every time the close ones of our group get together, it takes a maximum of 15 minutes for everyone to say yes for some off-roading trip to the top.

Likewise, we all decided to get out and do some exploring. New trails, terrains and places. We decided the usual, Land Cruiser 70, LC Prado and Pajero were all booked and packed until it clicked me that; Toyota has shown consistent interest to be part of our trips so I discussed with my group, and thought it would be a nice opportunity to write about comparing the new gun with the old guns so we decided if we get a Toyota Fortuner or Hilux Vigo, we'll ditch the Pajero and make it an all Land Cruiser affair.

Now what's a Fortuner; it is an SUV body on a Hilux Vigo chassis. They are basically the same in strength and structure but are vehicles aimed at different types of people. And it hasn't ever set foot off-road, okay maybe a bit off-road but I am pretty damn sure Fortuner hasn't ever seen 4x4 engaged!

I wrote to my contacts at Toyota and they instantly wanted in, but feared that we have provided too little time for them to arrange a Fortuner and to sift through the entire hierarchy of bosses to get us the one which we want because it is a company and there's a hierarchy, and it takes more than a day to get through them but still, my contact has worked everything in his power just so his product can be in the pictures instead of Pajero. So we're hopeful we'll get it but not sure.

Just so you know, we decided the trip on Wednesday at 2 a.m., and were going to leave at 12 noon this coming Saturday.

We personally are too excited as well since we'll be getting an insured 4x4 with a full tank just so we can write about what it feels to go against those vehicles, which gave Toyota 4x4s, the legendary status which it boasts on about today. It comes from a family of greats, doesn't mean it would be great as well because we have heard all of sorts of shit against it.

Here are the pictures (Not much since my laptop is a mess right now) where this would be tested against these:

Kirthar National Park is the venue since there were some areas and mountain tops which we hadn't explored so we're going to do just that.

Aimed camping site is this one, a Sui Gas repeater station, another 2-3,000 above our last camping site which is at 4,000 ft. Sounds fun as we'll be creating the trails to this place.
